Twelve pedals, one knob each, somehow sounds like a record.

“Every pedal earns one knob. The rest stays off.
Atlanta-based pro player; teaches on YouTube under a pseudonym that hasn't been linked to his Suede handle (and won't be by us). Plays the studio sessions for a country-rock act that you've heard. Twelve pedals isn't a flex — it's the only way the songs hang together.
The '54 LP was his father's; came to him in 2019 with the original PAFs rewound twice and the tuners replaced once. The Twin he picked up because his '65 Princeton kept getting buried in the band mix.
Born in Macon in 1986, raised between his father's body shop and the room above it where a '54 Les Paul lived on a stand. Moved to Atlanta in 2008 for what was supposed to be two years of session work. Has rented the same apartment in East Point since 2013; the lease has been month-to-month for the last four. Teaches on YouTube under a name his Nashville clients don't know about, and the YouTube money now pays better than the sessions. Married, no kids, one dog that hates the Twin Reverb at volume. Drives a 2011 Tacoma with the bed liner cut to fit a pedalboard case.
Started on a Squier Strat in 1998 because the body shop foreman had one in the break room and let him take it home for the summer. Took two years of lessons from a jazz player who made him learn standards before he was allowed to play anything with a distortion pedal. Spent 2010 to 2015 in a bar-band circuit that played four nights a week between Athens and Birmingham, which is where he learned to mix twelve pedals into something a drummer could hear over. The country-rock gig started in 2017 as a sub for a friend with mono and never ended. Cut his first session with the '54 in 2019 and has used it on every recording since.
A 13th pedal slot. Specifically a Strymon Volante to retire the Boss DD-8.
